This grill is still as I got it, no restoration, just added and or replaced missing or (in my opinion) obsolete parts.
It just went from my back yard to its winter home, our garage.
New wheels (actually the originals just put through the dishwasher) and new white walls now installed

Wow Hank that is an excellent Original Jr! Love these and seeing other people's Juniors makes me happy. I like your small slat table on the left side it reminds me of the small extension table you have on your green 1000 on the right side. Very cool!

I love half tables, the Jr had a place to put one already, I had to add extensions on the 1000LX.
The Jr. wasn't advertised for sale, it was just in one of the pictures of a house cleanout a couple of miles from me......
Both of the upper tables were missing, but luckily I had bought them a couple months earlier from a guy on eBay.
I had to add casters so I can move it around, and I put on a later model slider table support just so I wouldn't have to dig around the gas bottle. in order to raise and lower it. And, the hinge rod support was replaced with the later design.
If Weber had seen fit to continue the Junior series through the nineties, they would have made it this way......

The hardest part of replacing the whitewalls was, of course, getting the old ones off. The best tool I had was a brake spring pliers which has reverse action

I use a #3 Phillips screwdriver and push on the little tabs from the backside and they pop right out. It also mushrooms them out a little bit, and at kind of helps hold them in when I pop them back in.

I haven't, if I get a grill with those awful wheels I may consider it. I could also see myself putting a regular white wall set on such a grill instead.

I agree. I’ve begun to tolerate the Daisy style wheels. Freshened up they aren’t as bad

On some grills like a Genesis SS Platinum, I am OK with the daisy-style, but the “regular” ones that preceded it generally look better. The first wide-whitewall type brings out the vintage look of the oldest grills.

They actually aren’t too bad on the cabinet grills, come to think of it
