2nd smoke of the day

Ok so after my first ever smoke of a couple fatties on my new WSM, I placed my 8.5 pound pork butt on.

Rubbed for the second time after sitting in the fridge for 24 hours about to take its turn on the ride.


This is after four hours when I misted it with apple juice.


And the finished product when I opened the lid at the 13 hour mark.


I took it in, wrapped it and placed it in a cooler. The guys went out to play 9 holes of golf real quick and told the women we would be back to pull it in about 2.5-3 hours. Well they couldn't wait that long since At just over the 2 hour mark, they decided to pull it themselves and start eating. Last thing I was worried about was grabbing a camera and taking a pic so unfortunately I don't have any pics of the finished product. And the scraps left were not worth even bothering with a picture. But it was a great day overall and I am excited to start on this fun journey of smoking.
 
Thanks all. Brisket is going to be next to go on sometime this week. Will post a question for recipes and tips in a few days. Have never cooked a brisket, so I am a little nervous about it.
