Just thought I’d share a new project. 26 inch performer table and a HeaterMeter inside. Put gasket on the lid and it’s pretty tight. Small amount of smoke gets out but hopefully it will seal with time.

Made a basket out of expanded metal on a 22 inch charcoal grate to convert to a smoker. Pizza pan 20 inch and a drip tray 18 inch for diffuser.

Solid for 22-24 hours in winter for the first burn.

Love the size of the 26 inch

Looks awesome. How did you attach the kettle? Hard to tell from the pics.

Had to get rid of the star-board and replaced it with a slab of granite so it now should be burn and weather proof.

Tom love the side burner so is that a 20# tank underneath the cabinet to fire it up?
Yes the tank is inside the cabinet and while it looks better that way it certainly does take up a good bit space. With a tank mounting kit in hand I did ponder mounting it under the burner but feel it would be a closer to the flame than I was comfortable with at the time. Mostly just use the burner to get the chimney started, it's really not very high output but works ok as I took it off a dead donor grill.

Next up is changing the rusty hinges and pressure washing the cabinet as it needs a good cleaning.
