26.75in w/ Craycort grates

I've had my new 26.75in OTG with Craycort cast iron grates for a month or so. It's absolutley great. Food doesn't stick on the grate and radiates the heat very nicely. Wonderful grill marks. There is so much room on this beast. If you cook for a big family or crowd, it's a must. 2 things: stock up on charcoal. You will need it. The lid is heavier than I thought. But there is a wire rest that makes it easier to hold up. Now I just need to get the 22.5 WSM out of the box.

I love my 26 Mark. If you are into doing mods you could always add a second handle at the front of the kettle lid. I did and it makes using the kettle a lot easier. I've been eying those grates too but I'm thinking the shipping to get them here would be very expensive. Are the grates well packaged for transport?

Thanks Mark, now I remember reading that post. I think that's why I asked the question because I thought there was an issue with packaging. I did not make the connection with you however. Things like that always worry me especially when we have a border to contend with as well.
I really love my 26 and I must say the CI charcoal grate I bought really kicks up the temps if you want high heat. I would like a set of those for cooking on.

Ordered myself a 26.75" set with the Fathers Day code and saved 15%, worked out to be about $20 off when ordered with the lift tool. Should be here Thursday this week. Just in time to give it a test drive for the weekend.

Question to the OP, any concern with the additional weight and the known Leg weakness on these?

Congrats Tony. You are gonna love it. They are an awesome kettle!

It is a tad bit wobbly with the grates on. It defiantely adds weight to the grill. But I don't wheel mine too much.
