I’m going to buy my dad the Weber rotisserie for his 22 ½ inch charcoal grill. I’ve been looking around the internet for additional info on accessories and came across this site. I have a few questions and hope someone can help:
1) I want to buy a set of extra spits in case we want to do 2 birds at once. I see several out there, but does anyone know the size of the Weber rotisserie rod for the 22 inch kettle, is it 5/16, 1/2, or 5/8 inch square?
2) I also want to buy a rotisserie basket. The one I have seen:
http://www.amazon.com/Napoleon...id=1297276543&sr=1-3
Seem to be around 19” x 8” in size. The 19” length seems OK, but the 8” width seems to be a bit small for a 22 inch kettle. I’ve seen a few photos on this site and others showing a rotisserie basket in a kettle grill and they all seem wider than 8”. Is it a photographic illusion or is there a rotisserie basket out there wider than 8 inches? If so, can you let me know where to find them?
3) Finally, I’m assuming when using the rotisserie, using charcoal on only one side is OK. I’m thinking placing coals on both sides will unnecessarily burn more coals.
Thanks Much
