2025 Spirit update

Have been using the new E-425 (4 burner, no bells and whistles) for a couple of months and it cooks on par with my Genesis EX-335.

The cooking area is about 20% smaller than the Genesis and the four burners give lots of control and the size lets it heat much more quickly. In the end, as best as I can figure, a 20 lb gas tank lasts longer.

I was skeptical about the boost burners, but no more.

Over all I remain very happy with it and it cost roughly half what the EX-335 did.

Good to hear, Mark! The more I hear and see, the more I think Weber has come up with a solid winner with the new line of Spirit grills. I don't need one, but I still spend time looking at them when I am in Ace, Lowes or Home Depot.

I’m actually really impressed with the older 3 burner spirits. I just did a burn off and scraping of one I’m flipping, and it was at 600 in maybe 7 minutes.

The newer ones do look pretty nice as well. Glad you’re liking it!

I think the Spirit line have been overlooked. I bought the E-330 about 4 years ago to replace my 20 year old Silver B. After many cooks on both, I think the Spirit has the edge. It has an inner lining on the hood, a better designed grease tray, a sear burner and the burner orientation gives a better indirect area and better heat distribution. The size is exactly the same as the classic Genesis, which I think was nearly ideal. So far, no rust or problems with it.

The new version seems to be a step forward in design. The 4 burners should give great distribution and control as well as versatility. The smaller 3 burner model looks like a nice option for a small family or couple. Also a nice upgrade from the 2 burner.
