2 Butts Cook

Bryan S

TVWBB Olympian
They just went on at 12:20 AM. Using RO briqs, and a mess of Hickory. Rubbed them down with Teaxas BBQ Rub Brisket Blend. The 2 pack came in at 14lbs. 14.2 ozs acc to my scale. This is a pack from the case I bought at BJ's 2 weeks ago for my Nephews grad party. It's 12:40 now and the Guru got the WSM up to 250. Will be in auto pilot the rest of the night, as I just cracked open my first can of cold suds for the night. Many more of them to come no doubt. Here's some pics.

I just hope I wake up in time to get the fatties on before I run out of coals.

Ate lunch at 12:30 on Thursday. I skipped dinner tonight cause I wanted to go out on the bike, had a nice long ride. Well I just cracked open my 5th beer in 1hr 20 min... Why won't that cursor stay still.
EDIT: Beer typo.

That cursor problem......must have something to do with this board because mine won't stay still either....and the keyboard is making it harder to spell correctly too.

Hey fellas...yup, I put mine on around 7pm. I'm also 3 hours behind you guys.

I hope to have them done between 7am - 12pm tomorrow. I'm not a glutton for punishment though; I'll be going to bed in about half an hour

Cheers Bud. I'm up all night with ya!

I'll pay for it later today. But it's just so darn fun right now.

Yeah, about that paying for it.....guess I caught my 2nd wind 'cause I had about 5 hours sleep last night and been busy all day...I was dead tired earlier but I feel fine now...imagine that!!

Cooked 3 spares, 2 butts, 1 brisket, 2 gal of Keri's beans, and 1 gal of Danny's garlic slaw yesterday.....and delivered!! Beer is cold and mighty good right now!!

WOW! Wayne, you had the busy day, NO? Speaking of slaw, not sure if you like horseradish but... This one is a keeper and really good. Made it for my Nephews grad party and it was a big success. Horseradish Slaw

Since we're both up.....I posted a while back picking at you...did you see this post from me?

$4 rich man
I did, and feel your pain. Let me tell you, I thought I was rich with $4.00 in my pocket that night. I'm not lying, times are tough, but somehow I always seem to get by. But that said. I think we are in for harder times than we know, or think. It's only going to get worse before it gets better, if it does get any better. Corporate America is killing this great country. I will stop there because of the policy on this board.
EDIT: Going to get crazy now. I just put Kid Rock on the computer. Now we are rocking, and I'm prob going to get in trouble...

You aren't telling me anything new.....I'm currently out of work and have been for several months. I work with computer networks as well as do drafting...survey and civil engineering drafting and I can't find a job around here. But, things are ok so far....had enough sense to eliminate bills when I had the money...so I'm not standing in line for cheese just yet!

I believe you are a 'printer'? How's that going these days?

I am. Lucky for me we print medical, technical, and scientific journals, along with S.A.T. tests. While I just worked my first weekend in over 3 months, which, in years past, we would usually work every weekend. I'm telling you, in the 26 years I worked for that same printing Co. and we have never ever went a month without working a weekend, let alone 3 months. It's scarry Man.

Well, it looks as if your company has 'good' clients that will need printing through much of the current economy. Unfortunately for me, the building and construction business has slowed miserably down here.

About that ride you took earlier, I don't own a bike but I'm guessing I know the feeling somewhat. I like taking a ride, in my car, about an hour before sundown with the windows down and the radio blasting! Temp about 70something outside and some long-haired band for the early 80s or maybe something from the late 70s on the stereo...and driving about 10 mph below the limit!! Stopping for anything that caught your eye and just taking life easy!

Wayne, It's all I can do to keep the Harley. I'll sell it if I have to, to make ends meet, but It'll be the last resort. It's a 99 and I bought it used about 2.5 years ago. I had Honda bikes before the HD. There's nothing like it, no matter what brand bike you are on. I'm one of those guys that wave to everybody on a bike or scooter. We are all out there enjoying the same thing, makes no difference to me what you ride. It's all fun and good in my book. Here's my current pride and joy.

EDIT: Yes, It's a RoadGlide, not an Ultra Classic. The bikes got the radio, cruise, cb and all the fixins. I just love riding anything.

Keep her if you can...she's very, very NICE!!

If you happen to have a TV near your computer, what the heck are you watching......nothing on basic cable here....although I just finished watching a rerun of 'Walker, Texas Ranger'!
