Definately a humbeling experience! Which is ok because I now have something to think about when when I'm Q'in in the backyard. Now that I know the friends and family will love it, I think I'll start doing a turn in box or two of my weekend cooks. (Who would have thought that could help
)
I will definately be experimenting more with chicken. Truth be told, I did my first thighs ever Friday night, then did another batch of the same Saturday morning for turn in. So theres obviously room for improvement in that catagory. As for the ribs, I've done spares maybe a half dozen times, and bb's only twice. Once again, definately some room for improvement.
Hopefully I can find a reasonably close KCBS competition, or two, to attend before the weather turns cold, it would be nice to attend a judging class. Thanks for the tips guys, better luck next time
The one thing that makes me feel better, I beat my friend from work, the one who introduced me to bbq a year ago
