1st time using Weber's pizza stone

I bought a pizza kit from Sprouts, made the pizza on a cookie sheet with flour on the bottom, I had a hard time picking it up and putting it on the stone. Once on the stone, I closed the lid and checked on the pizza every now and then. It looks like a hot mess, but it tasted pretty good. I'll learn from this and my next pie should look better :)

Taste is the important part.
I’ve made a ton of pizzas and I’d recommend a pan w no lip to slide it off to go on the stone. Won’t need to pick it up just slide!

I use a pizza peel, resisted for a bit but it helps. Shoulda seen my first pizza, couldn’t get it out of the oven 😳

Thanks for the tips! I'm looking at getting a Pizza Peel from Amazon and give it another try, and maybe use cornmeal this time ;)

Nice looking pizza Micheal.
Nothing tops homemade pizza imo.

I sometimes do a pizza party night when we entertain.
To make it run smooth while I juggle other hosting duties I will prefab a bunch of pies.
To keep these from sticking to the peel or the fab table I will cheat a bit.

I use the cheapo Walmart metal pizza pans that cost about 2 bucks.
I will add parchment paper on top of the pans and make my pie on top of that.
This keeps everything together really nice and you can even stack them if needed.
I only use these pans for moving the prefabs around and storing the pizza until the cook but I may sometimes use them as serving platters to grab a slice from
When I’m ready to cook the pie I will slide my peel under the paper and put the pie onto my hot cast iron plate in the Weber or oven with the paper attached for a minute or two (if that) then use my peel to lift the pie and remove the paper.
By placing the papered pizza on the heat for a short bit all the stickiness goes away.
Sticky dough syndrome sucks.
I know it’s cheating but anything more than a pie or two with guests asking me question's is over my level of skills to do it any other way.

Oh, corn meal is your friend and Ooni makes the peel I should have bought.

Thanks Andy for those great tips!!!! That sounds like a really good idea that you describe! I'm going to give that a shot on my next pizza :)

All my setup is Ooni, I have the Kari 16, wood fired and love it. Cooks a pie in about 90 seconds, gets to roughly 800~900 degrees. U gotta find what u like, and enjoy using

Pizza peel and corn meal will make things easier. You will need to learn the proper way to sling it off the peel.
