1st Smoke - Beer Can Chicken!

Yesterday afternoon I fired up the WSM 18.5" for the first time.

Threw on a ~5lb bird and cooked it at 275* for 4 hours and 15 mins. Used apple wood and sprayed with apple juice twice during the last two hours.

The chicken came out excellent, the wife loved it. Had a nice smoke flavor and the meat was still moist.

I can't wait to try some ribs this weekend!
 
Perfect! I wouldent spray a bird with a waterbased liquid(becouse of the crispy skin),rather melted butter or flavoured oil. BUT when the bird looks like this i might rethink
