1st Brisket Ever

Great looking cook, David.

Regarding greenmarket, there is a supplier who sets up there Friday and, I believe, Saturday. They're from upstate and have really beautiful, and really pricy, beef.

And as far as NYC bbq goes, haven't found a "great" one yet. The "wet" brisket (sliced point, I believe) is pretty good at Hill Country and I've had hit or miss at Virgil's.

Yeah, I've seen a few beef purveyors at the greenmarket, but haven't checked prices... will do next time I'm there...
And Hill Country has awesome beef ribs, better than their brisket I think...

anybody try fette sau? I always stay at a place in the west village and haven't made it out of Manhattan. We were going to go there for lunch (mixed in with a tour of the brewery) but they don't open until 5, so I'm thinking it'll probably never happen.

Fatty Q (also in Brooklyn) looks like it could be cool.
