18" WSM with no date stamp

Anyone ever run across an 18 inch with no letter stamped on the top vent? Maybe just one that missed the press?

I have one. It is very early 80's. No stamps on damper vents either.

Likely it's just a damper that didn't get stamped. Without that date code stamp, you cannot know for sure when it was manufactured. Even the earliest WSMs from 1981 should have a B or C date code stamp. If it's got an original wooden handle, it's 1999 or earlier.
