18.5 “ wsm water pan replacement

My wsm 18 came with a humongous OEM water pan.
The handle on my vortex plate doesn’t allow me to use the OEM water pan.
I haven’t used a water pan on this smoker but I might so I ordered this 14”x 2” pan.
This pan fits like a glove and was reasonably priced.
I’m not sure when I will use it but at least now I have that option.

When I hold it up on top of the OEM water pan the outside diameter is maybe about 1/16 smaller.
The flanges are 3/16 of an inch.
The overall OD is 14-3/8”
The inner (lower) OD measurement is 14”.
It is a squeeze fit just as is without adjusting the holding tabs.
I’d call the fit tight but not too tight.

I’ve used it twice now for overnight cooks.
It went dry on my first cook without bellows but it had a decent bit of water left in it on my second with bellows.

Volume wise I just checked and it took 19 cups of water to fill it up to a good 1/8” from the top.
