150 year old stone oven

Very interesting. The line about wondering how his grandfather got the 2,300 pound stone up there really got me thinking. How did he get it up without modern equipment?

Great article on the oven from Pioneer days Bob. About that heavy stone my guess would be a team of draft horses or oxen, whichever was available.
