14.5 WSM notch in seam.

I just purchased a 14.5 WSM and right at the seam there is a small notch at the top. This is my first smoker so maybe this is normal but it just seemed a little odd to me. I first thought maybe it was maybe a notch for a pr
 
Just guessing without a picture, but it sounds like the seam wasn't welded all the way. No notch in my 14.5.
 
I need to get a picture of it to post. J Hoke, if it is a bad weld do you think it will cause any problems? It's very small and its just on the top lip at the seam but if it might be a problem I will either do a return/exchange where I bought it or contact Weber directly.

I prefer a notch in my barrel for my Maverick probes (as compared to the silicone grommet) and you might just deepen the defect and USE it... (if it's in the right place, of course).

Or complain to Weber and have them send you a new barrel.
Then take the extra barrel + Smokey Joe and make another smoker.

That would not be right....don't do that.
The SJ and 14.5 barrel may not match up anyway.
