My son smoked a small bird in the 14.5" -let me see if I can find it. I remember it turned out great.

I've read up to 10lbs.

I did a 8.8lb one and it filled it pretty good, but was not crammed in. I got a 9.5 lb-er to do for thanksgiving.

I did about a 14# bird last year. Vertical on middle rack using a Spanek vertical roaster...brined and smoked. 1:45 minutes @ approx. 325* Best turkey I've ever done

I've done a 12# bird but that was a mouth full for the little guy. Came out great though.
