I have two butts, a 9 pound and a 4.5 pound. I would like to cook them together, should I cut the big guy into 2 4.5 pounders or just put the small one on a little later.

well, If It was me i'de just put the small on later, um, lets say 5 hours later, maybe 4. If your cookin between 230-250 degrees that is. I dont get to serious so that would work for me

they hold well and hot in dry coolers all foiled up. The temp. may drop a bit when you put it in, so I suppose you could get the temp. up a bit higher before you drop her in, but thats not to big of a deal amigo. The amount it could drop depends also on if your using a heat sink (water in pan, or other) or not. but again, no biggie. Have a good cook.
