1 Basket = One Weber char-basket of Kingsford blue bag charcoal.
Half of the coals were leftovers, the other half fresh.

Chops = Thick, center cut, loin pork chops.
I gave them a 3 hour bath in a 50/50 mix of apple juice & Wicker's marinade, with garlic added.

GBC = Green Bean Casserole.

GBC cooked in a saved sweet roll pan.
Basket on the side, pan rotated during a 30 minute cook.

Chops skewered, bone side down, with peach wood for smoke.
Bottom vents closed half way.

Chops smoked.
Cheese sprinkled on the GBC, ready for a foil cover, and removal.

Bottom vents full open, lid off, basket moved to the center.
Chops seared to 140 internal.

A little over an hour total cook time.
15 minutes after shutting all vents, the dome was still at about 260.
(could have made some s'mores)

Getting an "Excellent" from Jo Anne, and a "Phenomenal" from son Tyler sums up our Monday dinner.
Grill cooking adds greatly to the taste of green bean casserole.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Great looking cook, Bob! Awesome idea putting French Onion dip on 'taters. That sounds really good.

Just LOOKIN' atom I say "Excellent" and "Phenomenal"!!

The GBC also looks "Excellent" and "Phenomenal"!!

Man, what an "Excellent" and "Phenomenal" post!

i love it when things are repurposed, even if it is just a little ol' pan.

Thanks to all for the kind words!

Becky,
My version of GBC is:
2 drained cans of green beans
1 can of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
onions and mushrooms sauted in butter
a splash of Worcestershire sauce
Mix all, spread in pan, and sprinkle top with French fried onions, then bake.
add some cheese, if desired, while hot.

The pan will most likely get re-purposed again
