Finished my “Frankin-Weber-Cart” today. Here are the pictures I took while I working on it. It is made from a FREE OTG Weber kettle, a Char-Broil gasser, a Charm-Glow gasser and a Kenmore gasser. I added a lid holder to the OTG and replaced the ash pan ring & one touch cleaning fins. All the gassers were free, but the Kenmore gasser cost me a whopping $7.50 at a yard sale. I made so I can attach the kettle to the gasser cart without drilling any holes on the bowl. The 2 handles fit into a slotted brackets. One screw in each bracket keeps the kettle in place.
I still need to get a new gas line and figure out where to put some BBQ tool hooks. Thanks for looking.

Niiiiiice!! ..... and great capture of the project in progress. Only part I missed is the installation of the lid holder, but otherwise perfecto!

Yah. I installed the lid holder this last winter, before I even thought about adding the gasser frame to it. No pics of that.

I can tell you that the nuts that came with it were not very good. The threaded wire/ring cross threaded right away. I had to cut the threads with a small file to get a nut to thread. I ended up buying some good nuts at the hardware store to attach it to the kettle.

It turned out about 2-3 inched shorter than the performer. I didn't think I would like that way. I grill most of the time sitting in a chair so, it worked out better for reaching in and flipping, easier to see. Lower worked out good.

Someone should start "BBQ Wars'
You know the show I am talking about..
Get 2 teams of 3 people each, send em out on a scavenger hunt. Can't buy any parts and give em one day to build the most Wicked bbq ever!
I would totally watch that show.. or be on it.

I think you got something there. Just like building a UDS. The fun is finding everything to make it.

Love it! Free and reusable is great isn't it

I've been doing the same with free or nearly free Weber gassers. So far; one wsm cart in progress, one prep cart in progress, and one double performer starting soon.

Nice Earl!!!
Very clever - I did something similar! still need to do the painting job and re do the table.
I called it the "Poorformer"!!
keep the good work and share it !!
