Durawood Swing Table Question

I feel stupid even asking this question after restoring about 20 grills this summer...but I finally scored my late 80’s red head Genny and trying to bring it back to life.

How in the heck do I get the durawood swing table off? Do I have to pop the end cap off somehow? I see the bracket the holds the durawood slats in underneath but I can’t see how to get it off the bar...someone help before I ruin this thing haha. Thanks a lot guys.

There's a slot under the frame for you to insert a flathead screwdriver to release a locking tab on the endcap. It may take a while if it hasn't been removed in years.

We all struggled the first time with those. It takes a close look to see that little slot under the frame.
