It's a 5000. The stripes are original.
The button next to the ignition is a 'Flame Check' that you press and hold down till the gas is lit. If there is no flame, it cuts the gas off when you release it.
They are a bit of a pain as it means that the front burner has to be on all the time, and also they fail over time and Weber have no replacment parts.
Easy to remove and by-pass however.
They were the 'top of the line' gas grill (The 5500 was the same grill with a fixed base). Fun and easy to restore.
