Bar Keepers Friend has oxalic acid, which is an excellent stainless cleaner. (opps I see you don't have the stainless performer, never mind).

This one has the gas ignition without the tank.

No tank and the bottom kettle is pretty bad shape. The ash sweeper is toast.... a couple of rust holes as well. So that may turn into a planter. The top of the kettle is in excellent shape though and I love the thermometer. The table part cleaned up nicely although the bottom cross members...

Anyone know how old this is (picking it up today for $50)?.... It is red and I think from reading here that it has to be a few years old.

Thanks for all the great ideas contributed on this thread. I have been using this method since last July but rereading have picked up a lot of new tricks to try this weekend after revisiting. BTW our local brickyard sold us firebrick for a dollar a piece.
