I just got my 22.5 from Amazon and it has the arched opening. Doesn't really cause me any problems.

I picked up a set of the Genie Universal handles from Lowes and the screw holes are not even close to working on the 22.5. I'm thinking they might can be "flattened out" a little to work. I haven't had a chance yet to work on them.

First smoke went great! 14+ hours and never had to add any extra fuel...temp held solid the entire time. I'm gonna really enjoy cooking on this smoker. Next is Ribs!
