    Flavorizer Bars

    Has anyone put the flavorizer bars in an other than weber gas grill. I have obtained for free an older but in good shape gas grill. Charbroil brand. Have not tried it yet. Needs a little cleaning up and the burner is rusty but does not look rusted out anywhere.

    Funny you should mention that. I did add a pinch or 2. I can't help but always add a little something on my own. Thought about a few drops of Tabasco and or wochesss..... anyway, you get the idea. Maybe next time.

    That makes me feel better. At least a reasonable portion does not blow a meal. But as good as this stuff usually is, its hard to decide what a reasonable portion is. Guess I was thinking that since brisket is generally a little tough unless cooked correctly, that is was on the lean side...

    DANG! At it looks like brisket is even worse. Thought Brisket was a lean cut of meat? other than the fat cap. And it seems like most of the fats cooks out of a butt. No wonder it tastes so good.

    First attempt(s) at homemade sauce.

    Made the Dreamland and the Dr. Pepper. Can't decide which I like best. But both turned out awesome. The taste test the night they were created I was leaning a little toward the Dr. but with the pork, I made be leaning more toward the Dreamland. I need to get by one of the Dreamland locations...
