    Lodge CI Griddle placement

I wish someone had some feedback for this. I was planning on picking up a Lodge griddle from Lehman's when we do our annual Amish cheese run later this summer

Leandro, I should probably have used stainless but I had some chrome 1" mild steel around so I used that

Another question on high heat paint.

Stefan, I tried but it is hard to show. The lid is Weber paint (I think anyway, I didn't paint them) The cook box is the VHT. What doesn't show is the VHT is more metallic looking. Scott :genesisplatinum:

Another question on high heat paint.

I can't speak for the longevity since I've only cooked on it twice but I painted my fire box with cast iron gray VHT header paint. Supposed to withstand temps up to 2000 degrees and 10 bucks a can. Local auto parts have it or https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000CPINBG/tvwb-20 Scott...

thanks John I'm hoping the open shelf will help with the airflow and drainage. I cut the bottom lip off the cabinet pieces...not so much for fitment but because they were rusted too badly to fix. Someone needs to grab this

    Is $100 for a Genesis Silver "C" a good deal for a re-furbish?

About a month and a half ago, I was searching for a refurb in NE OH. Craigslist was showing me some Pittsburgh ads "near me" for my Weber searches. A Platinum C for $100 and a Natural Gas Silver C for $40. Neither of them lasted very long. I have also noticed the warm weather seems to be...

    My Genesis Platinum B

Thanks guys Jon, I used chrome mild steel tubing...I had some. I only have half of the door hinge bushings but I found a nylon flange bushing at HD that fits the hinge pins and as a bonus the hole they require is smaller than the originals. Hopefully it stays warm and I can get some "body...

    My Genesis Platinum B

I started lurking here about a month ago to pick up some restoration techniques to use on my Fiesta grill. Unfortunately they don't have the parts availability that Weber has. Then about 2 weeks ago, this Platinum B followed me home with a the typical rusted bottom tray.(pic from ad)...
