HOW TO: Cleaning & Lubricating Weber Gas Grill Valves

Ok, good to know. As long as it's every 3rd cook then I'm covered, although I did cook 6 times straight once, so did a double cleaning afterwards.

Yes, the hose comes into the cabinet and wraps around the tank which hangs on the fill gauge. The hose wraps around in the front before connecting.

I'll take some before and after pictures with the hoses and layout. If you can get away with a shorter hose there are more options.

The Sidewinders use a 41 in. hose stock from Weber. It's further to the manifold than other models. I suppose I could route the other way from the tank and it wouldn't need to be quite as long.

This one may work. Does anyone have experience with the Dozyant brand? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DTK8KLF/?tag=tvwb-20 EDIT: Went ahead and ordered.

Thank you both for the info. I was looking at one like this because it came in the length I need. The sidewinders use a longer hose (41") than some. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NO1O6ZC/?tag=tvwb-20 Rick

Sidewinder Rehab - Questions and progress

Thank you both for the replies. Any opinions of the GasOne regulators on Amazon and ebay? The have a control knob on the regulator. I'm skeptical of them, but they are one of the few hose/regulator combos available in a 4ft. length. Rick

Also, is the Weber regulator and hose worth purchasing from them? The sidewinders take a 41 in. hose and this size doesn't seem too common.

Sidewinder Rehab - Questions and progress

Thanks Jon. I called Weber today. They would sell me a grill hardware package that would have a J clip, but they were not familiar with the sheet metal screw that holds the bracket which holds the gas line from the manifold to the side burner. The sheet metal screw screws into the underside...

I never thought about treating the painted metal like car paint. My cars are ceramic coated. Maybe I will ceramic coat the grill frame :)

Sidewinder Rehab - Questions and progress

Thanks, appreciate your input on my resto questions. Is there any issue using copper anti-seize on the firebox bolts that connect the box to the frame? After I still out the current one, I don't want to have to drill again in the future.
