    Q200 igniter/piezo

Thanks @Bruce. I pressure washed the patio today so the Q got a pressure wash too. All dried, put back together and it works again! What do you think of the condition of the tube? Should I get one now to keep before the prices go up?

    Q200 igniter/piezo

It’s a genuine Weber piezo part direct from them, it was slightly different to the one I removed. Weber wanted the model number before they would confirm which part I needed. I haven’t changed the burner tube, but maybe I need to get one for when this one needs replacing.

    Q200 igniter/piezo

It’s been around 23° today and it gets up to about 28° ish, nice and mild all year round with very little snow, if any. A nice, safe quiet island.

    Q200 igniter/piezo

Thanks Bruce. The white edge of the igniter is touching the tube, the instructions said to be flush, touching. Yes, it does spark. I will need to get some more gas for the long lighter, as I am not comfortable using a regular lighter. But normally it’s a blue flame I think?

    Q200 igniter/piezo

@Bruce and @LMichaels you guys know your stuff with these Q’s. It won’t light now! I have tried twice with leaving the gas on for a good 30 seconds before the piezo and nothing. I can smell the gas which is unusual for me as I have a terrible sense of smell and struggle to smell anything! The...

    Q200 igniter/piezo

I did click it to see if it clicks, why I did I don’t know !! Anyway, all fitted and back to cooking on gas 😁 I was thinking the next time I need to replace a part it might be time for a new Q? This one is from 2006 so not cost effective to keep replacing parts ?

    Q200 igniter/piezo

The new piezo ignitor kit has arrived with a very thorough instruction manual. Pouring down with rain today so hoping nice and dry at the weekend and I can install it.

Perfect timing, new to me Q300!

The new to me Q300 has gone to a new owner. I managed to sell it on for what I have paid so that was lucky. Just waiting on the piezo for my 220 to have many more years of good service. I did use the 220 at the weekend with a lighter to start it up and the grill plate is just the right size for...

    Q200 igniter/piezo

I wasn’t sure which one to go for so I contacted Weber and a new igniter kit is on the way.

Perfect timing, new to me Q300!

Since getting the Q300 home and next to my Q220 it’s much bigger for my needs. Only two in the household and it’s only used for burgers and chicken pieces. I decided to sell it on and luckily someone was looking a bbq on Facebook, I sent some photos and they are collecting it tomorrow. In the...

    My BBQ Arsenal Addition

In the UK they sell foil drip trays to line the pan underneath. I guess not so strict over here.

Perfect timing, new to me Q300!

A google and it tells me this one is from 2008 so 2 years younger than my Q220. Hopefully I get a good few more years with this one. All the others I have owned or rehabbed have had their lids painted so I have a feeling this one is going to get a makeover.

Perfect timing, new to me Q300!

My Q200 piezo igniter decided to give up the ghost yesterday. Whilst searching for a new part and a mooch on marketplace I saw this one for £50. It was still available so I have just collected it. Looks in good condition with a new hose and working igniter. The model number says it’s from 2006...

    Q200 igniter/piezo

The igniter in my free Q200 has died.. it slides in and out of the casing and no longer lights. It’s a UK version, there seems to be a number of part 12 parts, which one should I go for? I would say it’s a snap fit one, or maybe the last one on the list? The Q was from around 2006 or 2007.

    Weber Q100 cover options?

I have a rucksack cover from Amazon that does the job. I purchased a larger size so it fits on easily.

    Old Q gas controller

Hi Bruce and John, thanks 😊 The new hose and regulator and valve assembly has arrived and I have fitted it. That was an easy 5 minute fix 😀 The controller is now so easy to turn. The old one is looking quite rough but I am only 3 miles from the sea so prone to corrosion here. Let’s see how I...

    Old Q gas controller

Woohoo! I have managed to order the spare part 😀 thanks Bruce. It was £50 which I am happy to pay considering the Q was free from the recycling yard. Here’s to many more years of use!

    Old Q gas controller

Thanks Bruce. I need part number 17 I think it was and the manual has the email address so I will try that too. I have it attached to a 13 kilo propane tank. It was on butane but we can’t use butane here anymore so a change of the regulator and a service by the gas man and good to go :)
