Thanks all for your responses. As mentioned earlier I completely replaced all burner tubes and the problem remains, therefore, you may be right it may be the orifice. I will have a look and see if I notice anything.

are these easy to repair (clean?) or replace?

That is what I thought as well, but yesterday I replaced with a brand new burner. as soon as I lit that same one again.. big flame at front..catches right behind manifold , so I quickly turn it off

Hey there. I have a summit 670 from 2008. There is one burner tube that has a high flame at the front and when I bend down and look the flame is catching near the wires for the lighted knobs. It's like there is a leak or something. Took it all apart changed all the burners and same thing...

Hi all. I just got my burners for the summit. I had no problem replacing the main burners and smoke box but I cannot get the sear station burner in. Any help would be great

Old ones were all pretty good except one had a few perforated holes. As for the rust it was not on the box just...

Thanks Bob. It's an older model but in good shape. Just ordered new burners and looking forward to swapping those.

Just got a summitt for a great deal and not much wrong with it except bottom panel has rusted out. Everything else seems pretty solid. I ordered 8 new burners and I'm patiently awaiting delivery today. Does anyone know if the burners are simple to change on the summit?
