    Furniture wood cutoffs OK?

    Thanks! I guess the kiln-drying process could take away some of the flavor...I'll just use a little extra. I'd rather use it for cooking than just tossing it in the fireplace!

    Furniture wood cutoffs OK?

    Hi all, A friend of mine who builds furniture gave me a bag of scrap (cutoff) pieces of Cherry wood from a project he built. Are these OK to use in the smoker? They're 3/4" thick pieces about 2X4" or so, and are furniture-grade cherry wood. Thanks in advance!

    Couple of questions about a Silver B

    Zak, Congrats on the find! I've had a Silver B since new quite a few years ago, so I'll take a shot at your questions: 1) Yes,my burners are extremely quiet...always have been 2) Not sure what the screw is for. I'd check mine, but I replaced the regulator a few years ago with a generic one...

    Hi All, I've had my WSM since Fathers Day, but as yet I've only made ribs on it (with great success thanks to this Forum!). Anyway...I'm venturing into other meats. I have two bone-in picnics about 9lbs. each (on sale for 79cents/lb) and a 7lb. hunk of brisket. I plan to rub the picnics...
