Anyone tried Maverick ET-737 Wireless Bluetooth Therm?

Haven't used that one but use the ET-735 and have no problems with it at all. Great for overnight cooks.

A Ban On BBQ In Austin?

I live in Austin and there is definitely not a ban or ever was one. There was a vote to the city council about making the bbq joints put $20k scrubbers on the smoke stacks but that was shot down. There were some neighborhoods downtown complaining about all the bbq smoke. Here is an article on...

Cooking for about 16 - Enough Food?

I am cooking for about 16 this weekend for the 4th. The number started at about 10 and keeps growing and is now at 16 (may be a few more by Sat). I have 22.5 and plan on 6 rack of baby back. I'll do chicken breasts, thighs, sausage on another pit (LyfeTyme). My question is will 6 racks be...

    First smoke on 22.5

Little over 3 hours in, pulled and wrapped them (I'm a crutch guy). They look great! Side note, the bluetooth Maverick is working excellent! There is about 40 degrees difference between the thermometer on the lid and the Maverick (to be expected from what I read on this forum).

    First smoke on 22.5

Maverick probe placement: 2 racks have been on about 45 minutes or so, here is right after I put them on. The temp has been steady between 250 and 260.

Ok, testing a picture upload. This is what I did to start, kingsford and some pecan chunks. I've got about 15 briquets in the chimney warming up.

    First smoke on 22.5

Working on my first smoke today on a new 22.5. Burned it out a few times first but this is my first time doing food on it. Using minion method, water pan full of water, 2 racks of baby back and using a maverick et-735 for grate level temp. Will post pics once I figure out where to do it...

    Hello from Round Rock, TX

First post here but I've read a lot of threads. I've had an offset stick burner from LyfeTyme and love it but really excited about the 22.5 I just bought. Doing my first smoke today (ribs) and will post pics in a new thread in one of the other sections.
