I think it would work. I think the only difference is the probe style itself, one piercing and the other is non-piercing. I know on other devices such as Fluke, it doesn't matter.

We had so many hot banana peppers this year you could choke a horse. We only have a 4'x8' raised bed and the peppers just kept on coming.
