Last call on this one....giving it another week, then it'll get tossed.

Thought I would drop in and update.... grill is holding up very well for my dad. He keeps it outside and covered. None of the rust issues returned and it's still very solid.

Just got back from a Home Depot run. They had some new gas models on the floor. I literally thought they were those cheap "use a year and re-buy" grills....then I saw the Weber badge. Holy moly, it's getting worse.

Mine doesn't sag at all. I keep a couple bags of charcoal in the cabinet and stuff like my chimney, wood chunks, etc... down there. It's held up to the rain and weather very well. I'm in GA so not much snow at all, but it's been baking in the sun all summer and still hasn't faded or shown signs...

The Hunsaker actually has pretty beefy rods. I posted pictures of it, I'll try to find them.

My brother asked me about this exact grill, but I had never heard of the brand before. Anyone use this brand before?

Very cool creation you have made there Dave! My brother is in the market for a pellet grill. I'm trying to steer him in the direction of this grill. He's very much a novice in regards to charcoal/pellet grills. Would you say this is would be a pretty easy grill to use for someone like that...

The briqs are just OK, not sure they are worth the price. I bought and used one bag. Not sure I'll buy another one.

I've got one out back I use as a fire pit, just surrounded it with some bricks. And I've got another one that I use as a planter....worked pretty well this year growing some jalapenos.

Looks great. I like that color....make sure you let that paint dry a LONG time before trying to put any sort of cover one it. Like months. I've learned the hard way a couple of times...but won't a 3rd! Use it all you want, just don't cover that thing for a while.

I saw an "LL Bean" green one pop up not that long ago on marketplace....appeared to have sold pretty quickly. Pretty sure it was LL Bean, it was one of those catalog clothing companies.

This was a great price on that deluxe model. I use it for every cook on the kettle, except for wings when I use the vortex.

For low cost, you'd have to lengthen the tubing on the black frame. Joe's video is general idea. I have a Performer that I lifted by basically adding a heavier axle and big wheelbarrow tires. Not really a low cost option there though unless you have an old wheelbarrow you can grab wheels off...

Wow, 22" cooking grate....the dog looks like a puppy, but must be a big dog breed.
