    Stable Firmware Release v14

Yes ! Succes ! Thanks again Bryan. Now, next question (pushing my luck). How can I alter the default settings of the HM? I would like to make the default settings metric and change the probes back to ET72/73.

    Stable Firmware Release v14

Managed to create an outputimage, but what is the next step? I get a non bootable SD card when I flash this image to an SD card (Win32Diskimager). The outputimage is 19.9MB so that seems to be about right but I suspect that something goes wrong with boot and root offsets. head=4 sect=63 +...

    Stable Firmware Release v14

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS I meant that the options after -comp xz didn't work, starting from " -Xpreset "

    Stable Firmware Release v14

Thanks Bryan, this helped a lot! Mksquashfs4 kind of works now and I can create a modified squashsf file. However " -fixed -time `date "+%s"` " still gives an "invalid option" error, But if I delete this last bit I can create the file. I'm traveling at the moment so I don't have access to a HM...

    Stable Firmware Release v14

Now I remember again why I hate linux so much. Ubuntu doesn't know what mksquashfs4 means and if I try mksquashfs instead then everything after "-comp xz" doesn't compute. Do I need to do this on a RPI running LEDE? or is there an easy way to run LEDE on VMware?

    Stable Firmware Release v14

Not sure that I understand any of this (I'm a hardware guy:confused:) but I'm going to try. I assume that this will need to be done on a Linux box, so step 1 will be setting up VMware on my laptop and create a virtual linux machine. to be continued.....

    Stable Firmware Release v14

I've made a special layout for the members of the Dutch BBQ-society. This is quite a big group of heatermeter users (150+) and most of them are not so computer savvy. If they lose their familiar web interface every time they do a hard reset then I will be extremely busy fixing their heatermeters.

    Stable Firmware Release v14

Is there a way to modify the contents of /rom? I would like to use my own user interface but this gets overwritten by the default interface as soon as I do a "Reset Config"

    No default configuration

Hmmm, Could this be a version conflict? When I write the image to a completely wiped SD card and when I flash the AVR with the bundled firmware all seems to work fine. Don't get the "No default configuration" error anymore.

    No default configuration

Same problem here with the new snapshot. A "Reset Config" doesn't reset the password and also shows "No default configuration" on the display.

SMD Heatermeter on a RPI B+? Yes, it can be done......

D1 is now a RGF1A-E3/67A, this is a SMD formfactor 1N4001 equivalent diode.

SMD Heatermeter on a RPI B+? Yes, it can be done......

Don't know how I have missed the 1N4001 and C13:confused:. I'll modify the Mouser project asap. 100nF = 0.1uF so the value is OK, although it might be a bit confusing.

    Feature request: Reset button

Bryan, would it be possible to setup one of the buttons to be a "reset to default" button when pressed for >10 seconds? This would be a handy feature for headless heatermeters because with one of those you can't go through the menu to reset. Maybe combine this with a blinking LED when the...
