    Burner Ignites, Then Goes Out

The grill is a Genesis 310, just past it's 9th birthday. It's been problem free since purchasing, but today when I went to fire it up the burner adjacent the igniter will fire up but then immediately goes out. The other two burners fire up and remain on. What should I be looking at to correct...

    Replacement Grates

Quick follow up. . .received my order from David Santana. Grill, flavorizer bars, and heat deflectors. The quality is without equal. That's old school craftsmanship! Couldn't be happier. A tip of the hat to all here who recommended David. (y)

    Replacement Grates

Jon, no offense taken. I was just puffing my chest a bit over what I think was a good deal. All is well. (y)

    Replacement Grates

Well, I paid $150 for the Weber porcelain cast iron grates and bars. For about $60 more I'm getting the heat deflectors and that includes shipping from CA to FL. A better deal if you ask me.

    Replacement Grates

Well, I connected with Dave and I went with the SS grates, flavorizer bars, and the heat deflectors. Returning the Weber parts to Home Depot. My only concern is will I become such a damn good grill master that my mother-in-law eats even more food?

    Replacement Grates

Thanks for the tip, Greg. The reviews on Amazon tell me this is the greatest thing since canned beer. I'm in. :)

    Replacement Grates

BTW, I've never used SS grates. Do they require conditioning prior to first use? Maintenance and use suggestions?

    Replacement Grates

LOL. I just emailed Dave for a quote on a package for the SS grates, flavorizer bars, and heat deflectors. Appreciate all the advice and help from everyone.

    Replacement Grates

I've been looking at Dave Santana's store on Ebay and I like what I see. I'm ready to return the Weber CI grates and the flavorizer bars I purchased yesterday from Home Depot. My only issue is making certain I order the correct parts for my Genesis E310. It's a bit confusing based on Weber's...

    Replacement Grates

It was time to clean my Genesis 310. Upon closer inspection it was obvious that the original cast iron grates and the flavorizer bars were ready for the scrap heap. Burned through in several places, along with some rust holes. The unit is about 6.5 years old. I'm in south FL and so it's...

    How to replace electronic ignition

Thanks for the quick reply. My model is has the 3 front burners, if that makes a difference. I'm thinking I'll need to change out the entire ignition since the problem is that half the time it just doesn't spark at all.

    How to replace electronic ignition

I have a Genesis E-310 gas grill, about 3.5 years old. For the past six weeks or so the electronic ignition has been a problem. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. My first reaction was to change the battery but the same pattern continued. I cleaned the contacts in the battery holder...

Another Weber? That might mean another wife. Hmmm. . .

New Genesis, Unuseable, Everything Sticks to Grill

Not to beat a dead horse, but just wanted to give another update. Previously the most problematic meal, last night's chicken breasts slid off the grates like they were wearing roller blades! Fired up the unit, rubbed on some canola after hitting my target temperature, and the grates were so...

New Genesis, Unuseable, Everything Sticks to Grill

I wanted to update my thread to say that yesterday I decided to roast a whole chicken on the grill. Butterflied it, simple seasoning with olive oil, salt and pepper. Fired up the grill to 500 degrees and scraped the grates clean. Shut the middle burner. Tossed the bird on, butterflied side...

New Genesis, Unuseable, Everything Sticks to Grill

Good news to report based on today's use. Started with dirty grates and cold grill. Fired her up and waited until the thermometer hit almost 550. Lowered the burners so I could comfortably scrape the grates clean. Then I oiled them and dropped on some chicken breasts. Held my breath when...

New Genesis, Unuseable, Everything Sticks to Grill

It was 85 degrees today here in south FL, so what better time to fire up the grill? The grates were dirty from last use, and I fired up the grates and once hot I scraped 'em clean. A canola oil rub followed and on went the burgers. I'm happy to report the grates were as slick as a con man...
