Has anyone here ever tried either ingredient in BBQ? I am a fan of well balanced flavors, usually with a little heat at the end. Mostly I prefer both Wasabi and horseradish to the pepper heat, but haven't ever tried in in BBQ. Any ideas?

For several years now, I have been getting my smoking wood from a local orchard. I'm pretty sure that the apple and peach wood are from that orchard, but he also sells hickory, oak and cherry that I imagine he picks up elsewhere. The question is this ... should I be concerned about pesticide...

Do the wireless thermometers like the Maverick ET-73 or ET-735 have a dial in frequency adjustmnet? I can just imagine showing up at a comp where everyone has one .... who knows what temp you are actually reading. It could be the HH brisket guy next to you!
