New (old) Charcoal Rails - Weber Part #7402

That’s pretty amazing! I’d better clean the garage and see if I can find the set that “I’m sure is out there!”

Yep, I’ll get in line for that!

    Genesis 5000 Refurb

Paul, I think, (God help us!) that the tray sits on the left side and your “slatted” piece which would normally go there is the right hand swing table. I would not be surprised if I was in error but, looking at the flyer imaging, that would seem very likely.

    Halloween pizza

We live on a very busy street with few “local kids” I spent the night listening for ANY kids. After being prepared for a bunch the first twenty years, I don’t bother with lights out there or a Jack o’ Lantern anymore. Neighbors across the street did nothing, next door was decorated but, I heard...

    20# Brisket

Chris, I fought the price/fail conundrum for far longer than I should have. Jump in and get one done, then the splash into the cold water pool is over and your off to the races for the second one!

Hi John, Just left a note on your paella pan question, I never had any problem with the roti ring fitting on my performer but, my set up is not technically a Performer, it’s pre gas ignition cart design.

How to maintain a paella pan?

Treat it like cast iron a little more, after use, wash fully, dry, and give it a very light wipe with oil.

    20# Brisket

My Therm-Pro maverick was cheap as chips and has performed flawlessly. Simple, replacement probes are not astronomical but, I always keep a couple spares…just in case. I have had one probe go bad but, in six years, I’m really pretty well pleased. I don’t have many $30 tools that perform as well...

New (old) Charcoal Rails - Weber Part #7402

I used those for decades! I have a pair in the garage somewhere. My stepson gifted me a set of the “SuperDuty” 304SS baskets several years ago which were an upgrade from the factory baskets that I moved to the kettle at the cottage. My other baskets are in my dedicated roti kettle. The rails...

    Bowl of Texas Red

Turning cold here soon, will thaw some brisket and make some brisket chili for next weekend, I think. Thanks for inspiration Kemper!

Not quite right on that, the celebrant (priest saying the Mass) cannot open his fingers After the consecration until receiving his post communion ablutions, lest he drop any particle of the consecrated host. Once he has returned to the altar and the acolyte “washes his fingers” with wine and...

    Sunday Night Shave

We are going to a friend’s for dinner and I just scraped the fuzz, man, I’m getting old! Mike, I’ve used Edge before, it is a little different, get a can and experiment. Just used Cremo sandalwood and the face feels pretty darned smooth! And, with a brush, it lathers up pretty well, not as much...

    Wood chunks

The old owner at Fruitawood passed it to a guy that’s doing a very nice job in communication and supply. Great people! Try some of the “Merlot / Bourbon barrel” stuff if they have any, I use it on brisket with FABULOUS results! NFI
