Good link Dan! It took me a while to dial in the “let the heavy side settle and install the weight “up”. concept but, it absolutely helps! Less drag and “bang” on the motor. Less stress, longer life!

I was gifted a Weber roti ring and am quite satisfied with it. The stainless might be a little easier to clean but, that’s the only difference that would matter for me. The enamel isn’t hard to clean either really.

Patience will be the MOST critical thing for the rehab. Remember, the enamel is NOT paint, it’s glass so, flat blade scraping with a razor blade beats coarse abrasives. I really feel like I’ve had good results with 4x0 steel wool and simple green or even Windex (final polish) treat it like glass...
