He got a good mixture of genes, whatever the source. I think he's a right handsome fellow. He and his two brothers were all up for adoption at the same time, and my daughter got the pick of the litter, literally.

I cooked three times (different days) for 11 people this past week: one butt, 10 pounds of grilled chicken, and 10 t-bone steaks. So I will be eating leftovers on Labor Day, no cooking for me. My next cook will be ribs; my 7-year-old grandson said he wanted to try "ribs that are all hooked...

I stick to the basics: pepperoni, mushrooms, Italian sausage, green (or red or yellow) peppers, and onions, in various combinations. And mozzarella cheese.

Nearly all were medium-rare to medium, with a couple leaning toward medium-well. I didn't have time to cook to order. Everyone got their choice and I left it to the parents to choose the more cooked ones for the small children.

Tonight's menu for the family (children and grandchildren are visiting) was steak, baked potatoes, salad, and squash. I had never cooked 10 steaks at once, but it proved the fact that having two kettles can make a difficult task more manageable. Nobody had to wait for their steak while watching...

One other potential consideration: weight. During cooking most of the volume of the kettle is full of air. Will the legs, and more importantly (in my opinion, without doing any math) the leg sockets support a full load of ice and drinks?
