Interesting new gadget to my coffee arsenal

Years ago, when I was a service tech for the AB Dick in Chicago, I had to do service calls at a plant in Chicago (right off the Kennedy on the near NW side) may have been a Hills Bros plant. Huge roasting and grinding facility. Hated going there. It was always absolutely disgustingly filthy with...

Interesting. At a first glance you think Spirit but I wonder if it's a Napoleon of some sort?

    Fellow Ode Gen 2

So, I found an Ode Gen 2 grinder on EBay being sold for "parts/repair". I'd had so much good luck with the 2 Baratza Encore units I bought like that. Simply people who didn't or didn't know how to clean them once literally bran new from September of this year! I thought WTH. Well I think I...

Interesting new gadget to my coffee arsenal

I gave up buying ground YEARS ago. What I've been doing is what doesn't fit in my vacuum canisters get's sealed up in my big chamber vac sealer. I keep them in their original bag inside the vacuum bag, then I can see exactly what is in there. I've not been putting anything in the freezer. My...

Interesting new gadget to my coffee arsenal

I found a REALLY nice 1.5 liter French Press on Amazon and a 1.5 liter temp controlled kettle. And they work outstanding! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FB3MNF35?tag=tvwb-20 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RJJ2SGG?tag=tvwb-20

Interesting new gadget to my coffee arsenal

Yes, and what I do now with coffee that won't fit into the vacuum containers is I seal it up in it's original bag (so I know what is in there) and place that in a vacuum bag, then seal the whole shebang into my chamber vac. Comes out like a "coffee brick" :D

    2nd Chance for a True Weber Classic: A 1998 1st Generation Summit 450

No need for apology. I feel the same. I've always pondered why companies make things so "backward" when it costs no more to do it correctly in the first place. I had the upper rear IR burner idea a VERY long time ago. Actually the first time I did a rotisserie cook on my original Genesis. And I...

    2nd Chance for a True Weber Classic: A 1998 1st Generation Summit 450

The old Kirkland ones were the ones made by Nexgrill and mainly sold under the JennAire name. Honestly don't know much about those. As while I've seen them I've not been exposed to them to actually cook on. So I will reserve judgement there. Same goes for the one I earmarked. Yeah, I "saw" it...

    2nd Chance for a True Weber Classic: A 1998 1st Generation Summit 450

I've not seen one anywhere yet so I have to reserve judgement on build quality. I'm simply commenting on the "tech" and some of the improvements i.e. cast aluminum fire box, and the top rear IR burner, to name a couple of them. I'd always thought about some way to do a top rear IR on my old...

Honestly Josh given the improvements in design and function I see in the latest Summit models I really would not mind if one showed up on my deck :D

ISO Heavy Duty Grill Cover for Genesis Silver C, Gold B/C, Genesis 2000-5500

I went looking to see if they made more generic type covers, (my Wolf and Big Z) both need new covers. Big Z' got holy from a hail storm this past summer and is leaking, and the Wolf? Well some may recall I accidentally covered the Wolf with one burner left on low or medium and I did some damage...
