Royal Oak Super-Size Ridge Charcoal Briquets - 10lb Bag

Forget the big briquettes--Get that man a new chimney starter! :D I'm curious to know how it got so hot as to collapse on one side.

Does anyone care about today's game?

Well, I'm happy with the outcome. And the chili cheese dogs were spectacular, as were the deep fried tater tots. Time to hit the Pepto.

Does anyone care about today's game?

My only interest is in seeing the Chiefs lose, as they beat my 49ers last year. But I suspect the Eagles have a steep road to climb today. Honestly, I'm looking forward to my halftime chili cheese dogs more than anything else! Yes, there's a hot dog under there somewhere... :D🌭

    The Humor Thread

This is a real product that I saw at my local adult beverage warehouse store. I didn’t buy it, but hope it tastes better than its namesake. Regardless, I thought it was pretty humorous and well done.

I just paid for a year's worth of forum hosting

I want to offer additional thanks to those who have made recent donations. To be transparent, I've received a net of $592, which is greatly appreciated. Best, Chris

Yes, 2025 marks the 25th anniversary of TVWBB, and we'll celebrate WSM Smoke Day for the 21st time this coming May and have a new t-shirt.

    Torn Grommet

I don't believe that's repairable. My video offers a tip on inserting a new one: Or maybe just cut a slot instead: https://www.virtualweberbullet.com/cutting-probe-thermometer-slot/

    Briskets too big!

I would imagine there are a few Bud's Meats around the good ol' US of A. Bud is a good name!

Modelo Negra. A local beer called Barrel Brothers Dark Sarcasm. Alagash White. Fat Tire. Miller Genuine Draft. I don't know much about beer except that I know what I like when I taste it.

    Briskets too big!

More of a Central Valley chain, none here in the North Bay.

    Briskets too big!

I picked up two nice USDA Prime brisket points at H-E-B in Plano TX when I was recently down there. You never see points in supermarkets here in CA, at least I haven't. But those are for another day, I'm on the hunt for a smaller whole packer for an in-the-oven project.

    Briskets too big!

Both are hard to beat when properly smoked by someone who knows what they're doing. But my vote goes to the point!

    Briskets too big!

Yesterday I went to both Costco and Smart & Final looking for USDA Choice briskets of reasonable size and couldn't fine anything less than 20 pounds, some as big as 25 pounds. Where did all the smaller cows go? 😳🐄

    Congratulations Donna Fong!

Congratulations to my friend Donna Fong of Butcher's Daughter BBQ for her election to the Kansas City Barbecue Society Board of Directors. I can't think of a better person to serve in this position, and great to have some West Coast representation on the BOD. Congrats Donna!

    ALL SEEMS OK NOW

Security certificate had expired. I thought I'd taken care of it weeks ago and did, but apparently failed to install it. Only took a second to install it, but it took about 90 minutes for me to get notified that the site was down.
