    22 1/2" Charcoal Grate Mod....

Today I bought a 22 1/2" Weber Kettle charcoal grate that measured 17" in dia. that fit inside the fire ring. I simply connected the ring and two grates together with two SS hose clamps. Don't forget to clock one grate 90 degrees.

I think you need a few more casters, LOL!! A brillo pad should clean all the gunk off the porcelin and shine it up a bit. Check out my WSM Cart in the photo gallery.

I would think that you should be able to fit four on each rack for eight brds. 8 pieces times 8 birds equals 64 pieces. Guess it depends on how hoangry you are....

    Water Pan Dropping

Yes I agree, I had two of the older 18.5" WSM's before getting the newer 22.5" WSM. I'm trying to and a spacer to reduce the little play between the pan and strap seats which is just enough to let the pan fall. RW.

The first time the pan was situated and I am pouring water to fill it, at 2/3rds full wham, it falls into the charcoal. On another occasion I was using lava rocks in lieu of water and checking on...

I opted out on the original wood and wire basket and replaced it with...
