I just did this yesterday on a new 18.5" that has had two smokes on it. With painter's tape it was a piece of cake and no chipping issues. I just started small with a pilot hole and worked my way up till I got to the size I needed.

Update....I did the leftover in the chimney plus about 6-7 new. New in the ring with hickory wood and went perfect.... Thanks for the replies

Simply put.....How do you store yours? I fully expected to find a soft case or something by Maverick or somebody to put the two units and the probes in when not in use. Besides the universal carry-all, the Crown Royal purple bag , how do you store yours and is there a case I am not finding...
