Big price drop in spare ribs at Sams

I wonder why baby backs are still sky high at Sam's?

    What is everyone's favorite charcoal?

A lot of Mexican markets have huge bags of Mesquite lump for cheap. I use it once in a while, great for carne asada.

Anyone else think meat prices are too high?

Prices are starting come down in my part of SoCal. Prime brisket is down to $4/lb from $5. Pork Butt is down to $2 from $3/lb.

    What is everyone's favorite charcoal?

Oh yeah, those Cowboy briquettes are pretty good, I just finished my first bag yesterday, I'll be going back to TSC for more! I have tried everything on your list, except for Blues Hog and B&B briquettes are my favorite, but they're hard to find in stock at Ace. Cowboy will be my go to if I...

Anyone else think meat prices are too high?

Yup, I'm pretty much only buying if it's on sale now.

Fire Starters - what are you using?

Sorry for the late reply, not getting email notifications from this site for some odd reason. Anyways, those fire starters have been working out well for me. Some of the tumbleweeds are large and some are medium in size, I've really only been using 1 with no issues. I have a standard Weber...

Big price drop in spare ribs at Sams

Nice, baby backs are still $5/lb unfortunately. Walmart currently has Smithfield baby backs for $3.24, St. Louis cut for $2.94, and full sparerib for $1.94/lb. This is in SoCal.

How many bags of charcoal have you burned so far in 2021?

I think I went through 2 bags of B&B briquettes, 2 bags Royal Oak All Natural briquettes, 4 bags of Royal Oak Premium (Walmart special) 2 bags of Royal oak lump (30lb big bags), and 1 bag of Cowboy all natural briquettes. B&B briquettes are my favorite, but hardly available at Ace. I think...

Fire Starters - what are you using?

Ya the wax cubes do make a mess, just started trying these out. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06W9M1W9G/?tag=tvwb-20 So far so good.

    Another B&B sale at Ace

I tried Royal Oak All Natural and was surprised how much smoke came out from a full chimney. They leave lots of ash and the briquettes crumble very easily when you try to reuse them. Overall they work okay for the price. B&B briquettes are my favorite so far. Just got a bag of Cowboy All...

Has anyone tried this B&B lump before?

Ya the price seems pretty good if it really is the same wood as JD. Might give it a try.

Has anyone tried this B&B lump before?

https://www.lowes.com/pd/B-B-Charcoal-Band-B-18-lb-Premium-Lump-Charcoal/5001940527 Says it's "quebracho" wood, which is what Jealous Devil uses. Any thoughts?

    Another B&B sale at Ace

Weird, I just checked tonight and 5off25 is working again on briquettes!

    Another B&B sale at Ace

It looks like B&B briquettes are now excluded from coupons, this is disappointing. Is anyone else seeing this?

    B&B sale

Is this lump a lot better than Royal Oak?

Anybody have experience with Royal Oak Chef's Select

Sucks that Do It Best no longer carries it, they had the best price (about $24 for 40lbs). Royal Oak All Natural from Walmart seems like a similar product, but smaller size briquettes.
