Help me find some hot prepared horseradish, please?

That is the stuff I mentioned earlier. It’s from Eagle River, Wisconsin. We have mixed it with sour cream to tone it down. Gerry

I will just leave this here

We always did the hot burn off when starting the grill. All burners on high until the grill was really hot and then we'd scrape the grill and start cooking. I wonder if this procedure helped melt the grease from the previous cook in the drip tray and let it flow into the little grease pan...

    Repaired my old Genesis today

I’m glad that old frame is still getting used! Gerry

I will just leave this here

The grill, or the rototiller?🤓 Looks like an old Wheel Horse?

    Feeling INCREDIBLY stupid

I would be tempted to leave it as is for a bit. Next time you use it, get it nice and hot and scrape off as much of the goo as you can with carefully use of a putty knife. Then maybe while it’s really hot, pour some water on it as if you were cleaning a griddle and see what happens. If that’s...

Tell me about this six burner Summit Platinum

Well, let's see. The casting is junk, so if one were to drill a couple of holes... Then one could run a tap, say perhaps a 10-24 thread through both pieces. One could then obtain a couple of 10-24 x 2-1/2" screws (stainless, of course) and screw the pieces together with some JB Weld in the...

Tell me about this six burner Summit Platinum

It looks like flavorizer bars would be about $360. No wonder the grill was out at the end of the driveway!

Tell me about this six burner Summit Platinum

I wheeled this grill from two houses down yesterday. I can't find a serial number and I don't know much about these newer grills. I see it's a Summit Platinum from the badge on the lid. What years did they make these grills? I understand that these are rust buckets and replacement fireboxes...

    Summit Silver

Larry, You saw that I dragged home that Summit Platinum and it has both lid hinge mounts broken. I was wondering, do you think the side castings from a four burner are the same as on the six burner? Gerry

    Curb Alert !!!

Both sides of the casting are broken and the flavorizer bars seem to be in rough shape. The frame, doors and sides are in good shape. I think the lid is good too. I will take a better look at it tomorrow Gerry

Ipe is great wood for that purpose. Looks great with a coat of teak oil or just let them grey. They will never rot!

    Curb Alert !!!

My grills already have good grates from RCPlanebuyer, but I didn’t have one of the half sized grates. Now I have enough grates to last two lifetimes and more.

    Curb Alert !!!

I certainly don’t need another grill. This one has some good parts on it. I might keep the grates if they fit a Genesis 1-5 but I was hoping someone on here might want to take the rest of it off my hands.

    Curb Alert !!!

The grates are dirty but solid.

    A GOAT has passed

Now that I think about it, he was surprised because I had the grill disassembled. It took up a very small space compared to the space he cleared out. I also remember that he made a point to show me the Genesis grill he had. It was in nice shape, and he was understandably proud of it! Gerry

    A GOAT has passed

Hey Larry, Your dad made it to 98. That's a great run. He had a full life. I lost my dad at 79. Wish he was still around. (Although I might not listen to some of his advice...) One of his sayings that he told us when we were young and just starting out was (In a heavy German accent); "It's...
