Tired of running multiple water filter systems

I used 3/8" line feeding the fridge's due to my RO system is in my basement along with my pressure tank. I have about 15' of line going to each fridge and it works flawlessly.

Tired of running multiple water filter systems

For my basement fridge this was the case as well. I just gutted everything and put in a quick connect fitting for ice maker/water dispenser. Removing the factory filter also freed up room in my fridge. For someone who can rebuild coffee grinders/mixers in your sleep this should be a piece of...

Tired of running multiple water filter systems

This Video should help you out. The pressure in the tank should be around 5 to 7 psi. I ditched those small expensive filters that come with the refrigerator for a full size one that services both my refrigerators.

Tired of running multiple water filter systems

I'm not sure what "coffee machine" that you are having issues with but for my superautomatic when I was running oily beans thru it it created havic by plugging up the machine where I was getting poor flow. Cleaning the machine only improved marginally, the real fix was when I removed the...

Tired of running multiple water filter systems

I should have added my untreated water TDS is 135, RO water TDS is 3. I also sanatize my RO system once per year along with replacing the filters. I get around 3 years on my RO membranes. I use Bulk Reef Supply for my system/filters which caters to the aquarium crowd.

Tired of running multiple water filter systems

I have an RO system that feeds my refrigerators and for brewing beer consisting of a sediment filter, 5 micron carbon block, RO membranes, and a 1 micron carbon block only after the 4 gallon pressure tank for post taste filtering. For brewing beer, I strip all the minerals out of the water to...

Below are some pictures of my Jockey Box build using Perlick taps, EVA barrier tubing, and a "conventional" gas splitter. Edit: I used SS Nuataps not Perlick.

Think I am done dabbling in DIY auto work

I am the opposite, I will do my own auto maintenance until I can no longer can drive. I learned to do maintenance from my Dad, although I work as an Electrical Engineer, maintenance will always be in my blood. I had a discussion at work 40 years ago with a co-worker who questioned why I bother...

OK fellow geniuses LOL Electrical issue

It's not dumb if you were able to learn from your mistake(s). I consider dumb if one made the same mistake more than once.

Road Use Charge for Electric Vehicles

With a cost of only $2.50 to charge your EV, would make it difficult to justify investing in a solar system to charge your car. It's a matter of time before Illinois jacks up the cost of EV plates. I work in the power plant industry and they like to see the sales of EV's, more electricity to sell.

    Immune To Cold Weather

My cold water experience may have come from laying on my front porch unconscious in a short sleeve shirt in 18 Deg. F weather for an undetermined amount of time. I suspect that I my have been unconscious for 40 minutes, unfortunately your brain looses track of time when unconscious...

    Immune To Cold Weather

I have no plans on doing a Polar Plunge anytime soon.🐻‍❄️ Shoveling the snow in a short sleeve shirt/no gloves in sub zero weather was a test to determine how my brain would react to freezing weather conditions. Knowing that my brain can detect the symptoms of extreem cold (numbness of my...

    Immune To Cold Weather

I was wondering the same, I was in Houston in Feburary for work but it snowed 3" so I haven't experienced hot weather yet. I also "react" to touching a hot pan that was on the stove. I do "feel" the cold weather as I can tell by breathing in the cold air and my arms/hands feel like they have...

    Immune To Cold Weather

Early this year I slipped and fell (due to ice) on my front porch which caused me to sustain a concusion. Afterwards I am no longer effected by cold weather, I don't shiver or have goose bumps when outside in sub zero weather in a short sleeve shirt. My fingers do start to go numb after about 5...

    Getting a Baratza Virtuoso+

I wonder if they couldn't tell the difference between a blade grinder and a burr grinder. Chefs often use a blade grinder to grind spices, choloate, etc. Perhaps they were watching a cooking show and saw them grinding chocolate with a blade grinder and thought "why not".

    Small Coffee Maker

Maybe experiment with a more robust coffee bean? I don't usually drink drip coffee but I am fond of United Airlines drip coffee which they use Illy coffee beans. Pricy but it beats cheap diner coffee.

    So many KitchenAid Mixer Models

It's been a tradition in our family as my mom gifted my wife with the K45SS for our wedding shower (almost 40 years ago) and my wife did the same for our daughter in law. The grand daughters come over on occassion to help my wife bake during the holidays. My professional 600 has been less...

    So many KitchenAid Mixer Models

I have the K45SS model. Good to know about getting a smaller bowl for the 6qt mixer but then I would need new mixer attachments.

    So many KitchenAid Mixer Models

We have both a 4.5qt Hobart tilt head mixer and a 6qt Professional 600 lift mixer. When my wife makes macaroon's she uses the 4.5qt mixer as she says that it whips up the batter better due to the smaller bowl.
