    - Bruce's and Jon's Kansas City BBQ Adventure!

You guys are spending money I don’t have! I’d love a “Bluegrass Special” with an “F-5 mandolin” on the blue top! Google it. I just backed off having a watch serviced when I heard $350, I had to go home and check my jockeys! Grills I must keep in perspective, I’ve gotten so sidetracked with SWMBO...

    Another one, RIP Brian Wilson!

Feels like I’m reading this more often or going to more funerals every month! Three “locals” in as many weeks! I know I have to go but, every time I feel like there isn’t going to be anyone left to come to mine!

One Touching Cleaning - What am I Doing Wrong?

I have two of the “old style”(22”) and one of the “new” (18”) The old ones are easier on my knuckles!

One Touching Cleaning - What am I Doing Wrong?

I scored one of the “old style squared off” Black(!) buckets from Dan or Brett, once the dust settled from opening the box, I put it on! I was “housekeeping” the other day, it seemed a little shabby looking so, I gave it a good scrub and three coats of High heat rustoleum, that looks much more...

One Touching Cleaning - What am I Doing Wrong?

I think John is trying to reinstall the bucket, I usually need to start the process two or three times with proper verbage and holding my mouth juuuuust right! That mount is easier than the hare brained design they use for the 18” kettle! Line up two little nubs and arthritically squeeze the...

Another thing for the junk drawer.

    - Bruce's and Jon's Kansas City BBQ Adventure!

Man, I would have loved being on that road trip! Sounds like you had a great time!!! And remember porcelain enamel IS glass, people seem to forget that. My wife has a great interest in enameling and other glass work. Her interest in enamel is huge! So, her understanding of the “care and feeding”...

Pretty cool grill brush and NO METAL BRISTLES!

    - Bruce's and Jon's Kansas City BBQ Adventure!

Hey Jon, there is a “good sized” Cabela’s store in Dundee Michigan which might be worth a drive for another “fix” for a sport shop, now that Bass Pro and Cabela’s are connected you might have fun there too! I have not been there in years but, it was fun when I went.

    Wsm vent replacement

Thanks Timothy, That’s the idea I thought I’d seen, I’m thinking a punch on the inside of the errant vent rivet might be the way to go. Wire isn’t a bad idea either. Either way, I’m going to need an extra set of hands for about five minutes!

    Question about my 1994 Performer

If I had one, I’d do the 20# mod, like you did Cody! I like that!

    Wsm vent replacement

So, (wise apple!) you’re saying drill it out and replace with SS hardware. I’m a little hinkey with nylon insert nuts and heat I was thinking acorn nuts.

    Wsm vent replacement

Okay folks, I’m finding my lower vents are getting a little loose, do any of you learned folk have any remedies for one who is not terribly mechanically inclined?

12 Racks on a Rib Hanger

Ribs happened tonight, everything done with confusion over a funeral and surprise guests. Suffice to say, the ribs weren’t bad, just not as good as I’d hoped. It’s time for me to examine my eyelids for holes until morning!

    Rack Of Pork

Chuck, you old roast! New equipment takes a little time to fully understand! Cut yourself a little slack! That’s a dandy feast! Enjoy!!!

    Wagyu X Shorties.

Strong work Sir, It’s been a stress filled day here, I’m “ Splicing the Mainbrace” and off to rest in the arms of Morpheus. Many more anniversaries to come and I dearly hope to share one grand feast with you afore I shuffle off this mortal coil.
