    We've had memberships at both and we just don't buy enough there to offset the cost of the membership. Before my wife retired from WalMart, we got 1/2 price Sam's memberships. I see very little difference between the two places.

    Inkbird

    My Inkbird works well. Going on a year now. I just connect it (bluetooth) to the iPad and leave that on the counter. If I run it on my phone, I'm often going out of range and it alarms. They have a new one with RF longer range but I haven't tried it.

    Thanks. I have used one. I was not getting the part about the foil being around the circumference of the vortex. Makes sense now.

    I'm struggling trying to picture 'foil on the bottom grate'. Are you building your fire to one side and cooking indirectly? Foil on the grate beside the fire and under the meat? Thanks. Maybe I just need another cup of coffee :)
