    Door

I picked up a 2006 18.5" last night and that door seems to fit A LOT better, practically perfect. The hinge isn't great but it fits superb.

    Smaller charcoal ring

Thanks guys, I just purchased a used 18.5" WSM, so I'll just use that charcoal basket on both units when needed.

    Door

No doubt! If the 2nd door comes worse, I'll just pony up and get the bandit. It looks better and if it works better like most have said, no brainer.

    Brisket vs. Tri Tip

Ask your butcher for NAMP 185C or 185D. Those are the meat processing codes for Tri Tip. One being trimmed and the other untrimmed.

Kingsford Competition Briquttes $3 a bag

Anyone have an HD sku number? I'd like to call customer service to see which store may still have some bags left.

    Go to rubs

I also have some Kosmo products too. I believe it is the rib soak, sort of like a marinade of some sorts. I haven't tried it yet though.

    Go to rubs

What is/are your go to commercial rubs? I'm a fan of Big Rons Hint of Houston. Big Rons I ordered some Simply Marvelous cherry. Simply Marvelous Cherry I'll probably try that out on next weeks smoke.

Do you think if I run the probe under the lid, that will create too much of a gap?

    Door

Update I've contacted Weber customer service and they are sending out a replacement door. That is great of them to do. I'm afraid to over bend the current door and having it warped even worse. Hopefully the replacement door comes better, if not, I'll go all out in bending it. I've purchased...

    SMOKE WOOD BARK

I've never bothered removing bark unless it has mold on it. I've also never noticed any of the bitterness in smell and taste.

If the new ET732 probes don't fit in the eyelets. How would one go about monitoring chamber and food temp?

    Costco briskets

I've heard Costco mostly sells flats. Costco business centers have packers though.

    BBQ inventions

It's not a brand new invention. Just a twist on something that's already out there. Different design.
