    Sleeping in the Tub

Well I bet it will still be easier to ask for forgiveness then it would have been to ask for permission ;)

Porterhouse steaks with other good stuff

I thought you weren't supposed to get flare ups like that with GrillGrates?

    Chopped Grill Masters

Didn't realize that this was the second season as I never saw or heard about it the first season? I'm not usually a fan of "chopped" but an all Weber/Grilling edition should be interesting

    PSB Sliders part 2

Stupid question(s) alert...> Maybe this was answered in Part 1 (?) but what does PSB stand for and what cut of meat is that? Thanks

Weber OTS for under $50 at Target stores....

Anybody figure out what the dcpi code is for the Jumbo Joe? I can't wait for those to go on clearance!

    Chopped Grill Masters

Not sure how many of you have already seen this (or if it was already posted?) but... Food network has a new spin off of their "Chopped" show called "Chopped Grill Masters". Same premise as the other versions but this one is all outdoor grilling and smoking. From the preview I saw, the cool...

Trip Report: Q'ing & Brew'ing BBQ Competition & BeerFest, Anaheim CA

Looks like a very cool event. That's the only way I would even consider competing. I'm not much into the whole competition thing but it looks like it would have been a good time and a great way to learn a lot about making better BBQ.

Top 5 Restaurants: BBQ on Food Network

Between those 5, I'm not sure but the #1 BBQ place I want to go to is Aaron Franklin’s joint in Austin Texas for his Brisket and Beef Ribs

    Spaghetti Sauce on the gasser

Just curious, how did you drain the grease after browning the meat? I use to think the side burner on Gas'ers was stupid but I love mine now. I use it all the time from starting my chimney to sauteing onions for steaks and burgers, etc..

Weber gas grill quality at HD, Lowes, etc

That's a very popular misconception that a lot of people have... i.e. that a product at big box store like Walmart, HD or Lowes is some how lower quality then the same product someplace else. It is true that the big box stores have huge buying power and with that power they can special order...

    First Roadside chicken

How much chicken is that recipe good for? I plan on try RSC for the first time tomorrow. I'll be doing ~5 thighs and 5 legs. Will the recipe in the quantities listed be enough to marinade them all? Thanks!

    Thin @*53d Burgers & tots

Nice! I need to find me a local metal supplier.

    Thin @*53d Burgers & tots

Looks good. I love smash burgers! Is that a "Baking Steel" you are using for the griddle?

What do you guys use to clean the outside of your grills?

Steel wool really? I would have thought that would be too aggressive but then again, 0000 really isn't that coarse. I will try the just the Windex at first and see where that gets me. I have to say, your grill does look impeccable!

What do you guys use to clean the outside of your grills?

I know a lot of you could care less and probably never do it but I'm somewhat OCD and like keeping the outside of my grills clean and shiny. Generally I use Simply Green for most cleaning tasks and while it does work well at cutting through the exterior grease and grime, it generally leaves...

    So what's the chance of?

Well I already have a SJS that I did make a mini WSM out of but do find it a little on the small side. That and I screwed up the lower vent on my SJS. I do think the JJ is a perfect compromise between size, capacity and portability and even at full price, I think its a very good value. LOL -...

    So what's the chance of?

I really want a JJ but after hearing about how cheaply Target clearanced them off for at the end of last season, I'm debating the logic of buying one now at full price? Basically what I'm asking is, was last years clearance price a fluke or would I be smart to wait and see if they do it again...

    Need a quick answer...

Cook is still going but past the smoke stage. I used 3 decent size chunks and laid them down between 2 of the FB's (the left one being over the active burner). 2 of them smoked as expected but I'm guessing one caught fire because during one of my 1/2h checks, I saw the the middle chunk was...
