Is the manifold from the style of deep box that has a single cross brace on the bottom rather than a double with slats - and no small wheels —- compatible with more usual 1000-5000?

So another modified 5000 has popped up closer to me. Flame check missing, replacement lid. But the glass doors are there. Is there any reason to get this grill to replace a deep box with the extra shelf on the right? The glass doors are fun, but really aren’t they just going to be a pain in the...

Never seen this before! Currently running a 2000 with a blue top. Regret getting rid of the original top but that’s life.

When were these sold, and ever in North America? How could you convert to LPG? I remember reading that they’re popular in Australia. Stainless steel grills!

My local hardware store has a silver A, silver B, and silver C for sale. All new old stock, straight from the box. Pretty awesome. Green one was the nicest by far. He’s asking $1,000 CAD.

I have no basis for comparison, as I only own one - but I have a brushless Milwaukee m18 impact driver, and can get slow speeds with low pressure. I used this technique in the spring. In hindsight I could have bought m12, but got advice from a pro, and got a ridiculously low price.

OP - you’re in Toronto! If you plan to use this grill, it’s a good find. I don’t believe the resale market in our town will make it worth your while to fix it up and also make your labour profitable. In many years of scouring local classifieds, it’s only the second one I’ve seen - so...

No PO used propane. The serial number (and sticker) indicate NG. but all good! Thanks for the advice.

The orifices are slightly smaller than 1/16. Flame control seems good. Burners are prob original but also pretty good.

No sticker! I will try the drill bit check and see if the manifold is LPG or NG.

Photos attached. I drilled new holes in plastic handle to test it out. I think the bolts are the same as from regular handle so if so will grab cleaner bolts and use those. photo of undercarriage attached. I’ll hook it up and see what happens. The serial number is NG, but it looks like all else...

So after never seeing a grill on the street before, I’ve just gotten two! questions - one is a 1200 that was originally NG. It has the propane scale and propane regulator. Guy who tossed it was there and said it worked fine. Any way to feel safe passing this on? Also the firebox is not firmly...

Take a look at this, it’s a mystery. The frame looks impeccable, the side caps look amazing, but the drip tray is gone and the side table is replaced with stainless. Inside only half the flavour bars are there, and there are mismatched rusty grills. What the hell is going on?
